Happy hour drinks were very good. Always come back for their eggplants dish and Tom Kha soup. Crab fried rice was excellent, lots of crab meat. Everything was tasty and had good wok fire. Staff was friendly and made good recommendation for the IPA beer. It was quite refreshing with the spicy dishes.
From the minute you enter to the second you leave you will enjoy your experience. Good Thai food, inviting ambiance. and nice staff.
We had a green tea would recommend it every time. My wife even had me buy the brand at our own home. The floral Jasmine added another layer to our experience at Kacha Thai.
Pad Kee Mao was fried to perfection not over cooked. The vegetables were flavorful and still crisp.
For desert we had sticky rice with Mango and it was a nice balance of sweet with the tartness profile of a slightly ripe mango.
Overall would recommend to anyone. It is on the higher side but was well worth it.
Service is quick and efficient, food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The papaya salad was refreshing but didn’t have much flavor. The dungeoness crab fried rice was pretty bland. The sauce that came with would have been a good complement but it was too spicy to put more than a few drops. Price is not too expensive and decor is nice as well.
Thai food is a staple in our family nutrition plan. We probably eat Thai food at least once a week or maybe even more. We are not Thai but we love, love ,love Thai food. Now to the experience. The service was excellent as they accommodated the preggo wife, our 5 year old, 2 year old (in stroller), and I. As a family with 2 little ones we try to do dinner slightlt earlier to beat the crowds and find easier parking. Now, the ambience was beautiful with an updated asian modern day atmosphere. Kacha served us delicious food that was fresh and hot. On the dinner tab was Tom Yum Sea Food, Jasmine Rice for 4, Chicken Fried Rice for the Kids, Gang Gang Gari Gai (coconut chicken curry), and of course we ordered Thai Tea. It was 5 stars for sure and if our family is ever in the area again, we definitely will be back for more.
Great Thai food. Decor is very elegant and makes you feel comfortable. Food is delicious. Kacha Thai Bistro is one of Walnut Creeks top rated restaurants. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. They explained each other Entree if you have any questions. We will definitely return to Northern California and eat at Kacha Thai Bistro.
Service was great and that started from the minute we sat down. I asked for a table where we would be cool and our server made sure we were….he brought a fan for extra coolness. 😀 Totally unexpected special treatment. The food was great too. We tried 4 different dishes. We will be back to try more. …
Once you walk in the smell of rice grace you nose and that's when you know the food is going to be out of this world. Our starters were chicken stays and chicken larb. Which are both done to perfection the larb was not overpowered by the seasoning, and the chicken satay was done just right with great peanut sauce and a refreshing cucumber salad. We ordered the garlic qual, which is for people who love garlic, however the garlic did not over power the qual. I ate both of my quals with in seconds. Main dishes were the ginger eggplant chicken tofu, which the sauce that is made to go with this was amazing it was not too sweet it wasn't too spicy it was just right. Along with the Dungeness crab fried rice which was so good I did not want to share. This rice was topped and filled with crab, flavor, and more.
While it was suggested by someone to try the other place, we were glad that we came here. The portion size was decent and the food tasted great. Our server was really attentive and ensured that he put in our order in right away and that we ate hot food.
We had the past Thai, Thai fried rice (with beef) and the grilled pork in some delicious sauce.
I tried a Singha beer on draft, decent beer especially after cruising DTWC.
If you're unsure of where to eat or have the urge for Thai food I recommend this place to ya. It's just a short walk from anywhere downtown.
